KWZ “Meet Me in St. Louis - 314 Blues”

I’ve yet to visit the St. Louis Pen Show, but they’ve almost always been kind enough to send me a sample of their exclusive inks for me to try out and post. This year’s bright blue that is pleasant to write with, and I like it. This is a shade of blue that I’m really drawn to, so I have lots of them, but there’s always room for a good blue ink!

This pen stand is from Stationery Stack, and the pen is a Levenger True Writer Select that I got forever ago. It’s still a great pen!

This paper is a Kokuyo Soft Ring notebook, and they have really nice paper for fountain pens. The blue pops, and it held up well for the water test. This ink had more water resistence than I was expecting it to have, so you can be a little cavalier about your water bottle around 314 Blues.

Maruman’s paper is always good, and the less-bright white color of this pad makes the blue look nice, too. Of course, no bleeding, feathering, or spreading here.

This is the same Maruman paper. I just thought this photo looked kinda artistic.

The two pictures below will expand when you click on them, and they’re my copy paper test. It did pretty well on this bottom-tier paper, really.

Old-school Tomoe River paper!

Chromatography! Not a lot to see here, really. It’s blue.

Okay, lots of color comparisons here. This is a shade of blue that I’m into, and so there are lots of similar shades. This may not be the most original blue, but it is a good one.
