Do you have an ink dependence? I can help...

Monteverde Sweet Life Mango Mousse

I don't love this one. It's a little bit on the dry side, and it's way too light/bright for me. It's just not all that readable on good papers. When you write on crap paper, though, it's better. I've also heard that it's good with brushes and other methods that put lots of ink on paper. In a fountain pen, though, I'm not a fan.

Written Review:

20lb Copy Paper

It's actually pretty good on this bad paper. Very little bleed, and the color is readable.

The Bottle:

Perfectly cromulent little bottle.

Water Test:

Dismal waterproofness, but that's to be expected from a yellow, really.

Has there been a previous version of this ink? I just got a botte of it and it looks pretty similar to the pictures in this review.
I had a small sample before which had a lot more shading - still the light yellowish as seen here but going down to a much darker sunny orange (already towards Diamine Pumpkin). I really liked the big range of orange nuances in the shading and am a bit disappointed form the bottle i purchased. Any ideas if Monteverde applied changes to the ink? Or was the sample I had just dried-out a bit so I'd just have to leave the botte open for some days to get the lovely shading back :)?
